Jarrett, Greenford Park Cemetery, Greenford, London Borough of Ealing http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/388950/JARRETT,%20G The following information was provided by Alan Greveson on his World War 1 forum: “George Jarrett died on 26th May 1915 while on home service which meant he died of accident or sickness. “Soldiers Died in the Great War” (HMSO 1921) recorded he was born at Reepham in Norfolk and lived at Thursford. He enlisted at Norwich. His regimental number prefix T4 with the A.S.C. indicated he served in Horsed Transport and enlisted in Kitchener’s 4th New Army which was raised in November 1914. His death certificate might be: “George Jarrett, age 21, GRO Deaths Willesden Middlesex April-June 1915, vol 3a; page 287”. Willesden district included Willesden and Wembley. The nearest hospital was probably Willesden Hospital in Harlesden Road. Greenford Park Cemetery is quite near Park Royal which was the location of a large Horsed Transport depot from April 1916. It is possible the obscure “A” Reserve Park was a forerunner of that.”
