Greenford 365

In 2011, while setting up the Positive Greenford blog, I decided to capture aspects of Greenford by posting photographs taken every day on a blog from the 1st January 2012 to the 31st December 2012. I called the project “Greenford 365”, even though it was a leap year and therefore had 366 days, because I wanted to emphasise that it was a daily record. I also considered that I might continue the project beyond December 2012 until it dawned on me that I would never be able to leave Greenford again if I did!

The blog was intended to show Greenfordians some of the things that I liked and disliked about the area, things that they might not be aware of. In the end it attracted views from around the world but many of those who live in Greenford remain unaware of it. It got mentions in the local press, on the Guardian newspaper website and on BBC Radio London and received over 29,000 views by midnight on the 31st December 2012.
